User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 Build Identifier: OS/2 has a system setting to allow splash screens by applications or timed display of these. Mozilla on OS/2 seems to follow this system setting, but I think if one gives -splash on the command line this should override it to always show the splash screen, and -nosplash, so that the screen is never shown. Reason: I have set the system setting to off (no splash screens), because all application load so fast that there is not need for it. But Mozilla is by far the slowest loading application I have, so there is a need to be "entertained" while it loads. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

Sorry, this went out a bit unfinished, because I expected to be able to edit it once more before submitting. It should actually be marked "enhancement" and "OS/2".
Severity: normal → enhancement
OS: other → OS/2

-nosplash already works. It always disables splash. What you are asking for is -splash to override the operating system. This patch does that.
