Gordon Tyler: this bug appears to have been corrected, no later than 1.3 Final where I just tried to duplicate it. Have you tried a later build than 1.1?

I've just tested it again with: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030430 Debian/1.3-5 And the problem still occurs. As a clarification of the steps to reproduce: it occurs when long threads are expanded above the selected message.

I have reproduced this bug with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Also, I found that contracting all threads (using \ ) can generate the same symptom. Related to bug 191787, bug 186999. Couldn't find an exact dupe, tho; confirming.

fwiw, Thunderbird doesn't seem to have this problem (maybe as a result of using the Toolkit); but I still see it with Seamonkey 1.0.
