User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:79.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/79.0
Steps to reproduce:
(Linux, Ubuntu 20.04LTS, Running thunderbird --version
outputs 68.10.0)
Before this bug appeared, when I opened Thunderbird, the message pane showed up opened (but without any content, as expected). At some point, I closed the message pane using the F8 Key. Then I closed out of Thunderbird and later opened it.
Actual results:
Closing the Window Pane changed the default settings on the application. Now, on startup the Message Pane is gone and I have to manually enable it. I attempted go to Preferences->Layout and enable the message pane, but this appears to be a "per-session" behavior in the sense that it doesn't persist when I re-open Thunderbird. The same thing happens when I use the F8 Key.
Expected results:
When I open the Message Pane, have that be the default behavior on the next opening of Thunderbird.
