UX and Product don't like the update2 behaviour of retaining the user's typed alias in the search mode indicator. Instead, we should just show the engine name.
For example, if a user adds a "g" alias to Google, then types g <space>
, the search mode indicator should read "Google".
We only need to remove this if statement, but I'm assigning this bug two points since we might want to remove the alternateLabel
field in the search mode object, which requires updating some tests.

This removes alternateLabel
as mentioned in the bug since I had the same
thought.
