1658498 - Untangle bookmark engine tests

As described in bug 1449730, one of the tasks ion removing the legacy engine is to "untangle" the tests. I think we should so that in a separate bug to make it easier to identify what we want to keep and what we want to remove, making the actual removal more mechanical.

This is fairly close, but there are some issues running tests with the
mirrored engine which I don't understand. Because this is a test-only
change, we can probably go ahead with this patch even if they appear
to possibly be actual bugs - but let's get that clear first.
