As of today (11 Aug 2020), when I launch firefox windows security pops a dialog box requesting a smart card device (see attachments)

The only device I have ever used was a Yubico Key, which is reported as not acceptable. I have to clear each dialog box before I can continue. It appears that I get one dialog request per tab and that network requests to that tab are blocked until the dialog is cleared.

Same here. Just to clarify, I've never used any type of smart card on my PC and choosing either OK or Cancel doesn't work for me. All network requests are blocked.

Nightly updates have been disabled. It would be good if we could identify a culprit for a backout and respin.

Happy to provide whatever remote support I can [@jrconlin] on slack if anyone needs me to dig in to any internals.

Same here. I'm using Windows 10 build 1909.
The same happens on a clean profile btw.

Bug 1658042 has been backed out and new Nightly builds kicked off.

Nightly builds are re-enabled. Would be good if any affected users could update and confirm that things are working again for them.

I can confirm that the dialog is no longer showing. Thanks!

Great, thanks for confirming!
