Steps to reproduce:
Whenever I'm in my Gmail Inbox, and I select several messages in sequence, either by shift-clicking or using the "Select Messages" checkbox, I will get the spinning beachball. This happens whether I'm online or offline.
Actual results:
Spinning beachball, Tb hangs for more than 1 minute or so. Sometimes I have to restart.
Expected results:
I did not have this problem in previous version (68). I was able to select several messages by shift-clicking and deleting.

Make that 78.2.0, in 1.5 weeks.
