click on new message or forward or reply to message

Actual results:

thunderbird freezes for 1-2 min

Expected results:

let me continue writing the address or autofill address if in addressbook

i just installed thunderbird 80 beta and it seems the error is resolved

Thanks for reporting testing. That would indicate it will also be fixed in 78.2, available in a couple weeks.
