press up/down through the list and watch the magnifier focus on the type collumn.

mozilla focusses on the sorted collumn (tested: history, bookmarks, mail)

Mozilla's behavior spooked me because in mail I was sorting by date. As I
scrolled through all I saw was times. This struck me as very broken for hours.
clearly it's useful for me to sort by dates, but that's ont what I want to look at.
