Details

Receive the following error msg when trying to open a HTML file every time on the hard drive by double-clicking and Mozilla is set as default browser: +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ | <path/filename.htm> | X | +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ | | | (X) Cannot find the file '<path/filename.htm>' (or one of | | its components). Make sure the path and filename are | | correct and that all required libraries are available. | | | | ---------- | | | OK | | | ---------- | +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ Usually file will still open, but once in a while can't open file. Yet file will open every time without problem by dragging the it to the Quick Launch icon in the task bar.

BTW: I forgot to add that I tried reinstalling Mozilla, also. This is one of the first things I do whenever I come across a bug in any app. I will try uninstalling first, then reinstall app. :-)
Good news! I had to completely uninstall Mozilla (including all leftover registry entries not removed by uninstaller). After reinstalling, HTML files open up without complaints or error msg. NOTE: I had to manually remove leftover entries in the registry by doing a registry search with REGEDIT, using the keyword "mozilla", before this fix would work.
