Affected versions

Firefox Nightly 81.0a1

Affected platforms

Windows 10 ARMx64
Windows 10 Surface Pro Touchscreen

Preconditions

fx.webrender.all = true OR fx.webrender.all = false (Reproducible on both)
apz.allow_zooming = true
apz.windows.use_direct_manipulation = true OR false

Steps to reproduce

  1. Navigate to any website (reddit.com)
  2. Right click anywhere on the page to open the context menu
  3. Focus out the context menu and pinch zoom using touchpad

Expected result

Context menu should not close.
On Chrome and Safari the context menu isn't closed.

Actual Result

Context menu is closed while pinch zooming outside of the context menu.

IMO our behaviour here is better. In Chrome after zooming the context menu doesn't move, and ends up appearing mispositioned. e.g. if you right-click on a link and then zoom, the context menu still has link-related items (open link in new tab) but isn't anchored to a link any more.

I'm inclined to close this as WONTFIX.

This looks like acceptable behavior as Edge does the same behavior on Windows.
