User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/84.0.4147.125 Safari/537.36 Edg/84.0.522.61

Steps to reproduce:

Resize window horizontally

Actual results:

Search bar didn't become a button and layout became awkward

Expected results:

search bar should have turned into a button

The steps to reproduce lack opening the add-ons manager.

After resizing the window horizontally the search bar with the rest of the addons are now visible under ">>" button. From what I know this is the expected behaviour in this case. (See screenshot attached)
Are you expecting different results rather the one mention above?
Thanks.

Uh. I was referring to the search bar in the add-ons manager. The URL is about:addons. I was not referring to the browser's search bar

oh, thanks for the clarification.

Component: Untriaged → Add-ons Manager
Product: Firefox → Toolkit

There's a minimal width of the window below which most of the addons UI becomes awkward and hard to use, and making just the search bar smaller wouldn't accomplish much. We won't be fixing this outside a bigger redesign, if and when that happens.

Thank you for reply Tomi,
I agree with you that solving million small usability bugs on small screens would be annoying and doesn't make sense.
But of course, issue still exist - how would you recommend to delivering information that this needs to be done to the Mozilla management?

Linux world slowly heading to adaptive UI which covers desktop and mobile phones or tables.
Long time ago, I created https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1579348 but it does seem it didn't get any attention from management or Mozilla developers.
