Rack, what video card are you using?
I'm using a Matrox Mystique, using the basic mga driver. 1024x769x16bit. I had never seen this sort of activity with other software (save for really **** constant redraws in some poorly engineered software). While it's possible it's drivers, or even X.. I don't suspect anything in particular. I'm unable to check back into this as I'm using Phoenix now. I haven't bumped into this again using Phoenix.. I just went and rechecked things with Phoenix just in case, and things appear perfectly normal. It looks like this report was an isolated incident.. probably nothing to be concerned about. Wierd. =/ If you're particularly curious, I'd be willing to go get mozilla again and test things out.. I think it's likely that this was a build-specific hiccup though. Currently on: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021022 Phoenix/0.3 Was also using several builds ahead, but I skipped backwards to an older cvs due to other as yet unresolved problems. Setting it to WORKSFORME.. cause it does. =)
