Finally the german Umlauts display fine in the Event title. But In the Event Note, they appear as a question mark. Despite of that, when you change them manually back to the corresponding Umlaut they appear correctly and stay appearing correctly. I remarked this on the GermanHolidays.ics calendar file from the Calendar Project Site. Trunk Build September 1st 2002.
So you mean that the german holiday file is incorrect, of is this also a problem if you enter new text?
I don't know if the German Holiday File is incorrect. I mean when I open an the event in Calendar and change in the Notes the '?' back to Umlauts they stay correctly like this. Also when I enter new Events containing Umlauts, they are corrrectly displayed.
Hmmh, I believ to think that the ics file is broken. The following succeded: 1. Create Event containing Umlauts in Title and Note 2. Export Event 3. Delete Event 4. Re-Import Event Result Umlauts are displayed correctly. Is it possible that the .ics file is generated with an older version ? If so I can export the File again so you can upload it, with the correct Umlauts in the Notes
Component: Calendar Front End → Calendar General
It looks like GermanHolidays.ics on the mozilla site is saved with an older version, export now should save as UTF-8. If you can export to a new file and post that, should fix the problems.
Created attachment 97589 [details] GermanHolidays.ics fixed File This is a fixed version (at least on my system it works) of the GermanHolidays.ics File
Created attachment 97590 [details] GermanHolidays.ics (uploaded as plain text) This is the same version as the above one, just I selected pain text (text/plain)
Carsten: What version of Calendar did you use for export? (from the about/about calendar menu)
