Thanks for the heads-up, Chenxia! Pinging Ryan because RelMan are the ones who can bump this percentage.

8/31 5%
@:liuche: Would it be possible to use an internationally recognizable date format instead of mathematical equations?
I did not recognize these as dates initially and wondered why 8 out of 31 should be 5% and not roughly 25%. Thanks.

Are we reusing the release notes from 79.0.5 for this or something new?

We have pushed a new 80.1.1 build to the Play Store, and it has QA signoff, so that should be the build that we can start to push on Monday, Aug 31.

I have an uplift that we hope to handle the pre-launch issue, but we can start at 5%.

(have filed https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/issues/14560 for the issue found by automated testing)
We're also kicking off another build with a speculative fix for some of the a11y crashes, 80.1.2 which is in QA right now.

We got signoff from QA for the speculative fix (yellow because we were unable to trigger Google Play rating, but that's low-risk for crashing), so let's go to 20% for 80 Release with 80.1.2 (the new build).
Will have to discuss scheduling of this rollout, because a long weekend is falling in the middle of the rollout.

There don't seem to be many worrisome crashes (just 2 that seem to be fixed in Beta, one that is confusing bc it already got uplifted into 80).
During cross-func we discussed rolling this out to 99% (which gives us the option to roll back if something goes wrong), so please do that!
80.1.2 to 99% (or whatever 99.x% is reasonable)

One more 80 release version, which picks up the fixes for https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1659901 and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1657174
https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/releases/tag/v80.1.3
We can start with a 10% release, since this is picking up two Gecko changes that were uplifted to Desktop 80 release.

This looks good, nothing alarming in the past 24h, and one main crash (arryiterator) has a fix coming in 81.
We can bump to 100% since this was only a Gecko fix.
