User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1b) Gecko/20020901 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1b) Gecko/20020901 I'm using Cygwin XFree86. When I open page www.maariv.co.il and then immediately switch to XFree86 window (running in full screen mode with directX support), I get dialog with caption "OpenGL init failure" and text "Primary surface could not be created". After clicking OK button - browser exits. I also tried to switch to Railroad Tycoon II game and got same behavior. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Restart the browser. 2. Start Cygwin/XFree86 in full screen mode with directX engine (or maybe other directX app in full screen mode). 3. Go to www.maariv.co.il and immediately switch to full screen app. Actual Results: "OpenGL initialization failure" dialog appears and browser exits. Expected Results: Load page.
does this only happen on sites with Flash on them?
I'm using java plugin 1.4.0_01
reporter (Pavel): can you reproduce this bug with a more recent build of mozilla? and with java 1.4.1? if so, please comment again with details. if not, please resolve this bug as WORKSFORME. thanks.
It looks like latest JRE fixes the problem. Works with build 2002111108 and JRE 1.4.1_01, but with JRE 1.4.0 still has same problem. Marking as WORKSFORME.

I see the same things on Windows 2000 with the "SereneScreen" Aquarium screen saver. When the screen saver tries to start, it issues that message and completely blows away Mozilla.
It appears to me that Mozilla may have a bug that prevents OpenGL from properly discovering the screen size. My screen saver keeps thinking that my screen is 640x480 (or less) instead of 800x600 when Mozilla is running.
Reporter: Can you reproduce this bug with a recent build of Mozilla (for example, 1.4rc3)? If so, then please comment again with details. If not, then please resolve this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks.
I can't reproduce it with build 2003062908 and Sun JRE 1.4.2. It looks that it pops mozilla window up and avoids the problem.
