Off-train Moments Page Request

• When (Firefox release or Date) do you expect this to show up to users?: TBD mid-Sept (goal is to launch this at least one week before 9/22). HAS DEPENDENCIES:
  -- A) We need to ensure the iOS 14 release has rolled out so our page copy makes sense, exact date has not yet been announced by Apple.
  -- B) Ideally we'd want this to be live for 7 day window before the Fx81 release, so it doesn't conflict with the planned What's New Page.
  -- C) Web page is still actively being coded and localized.
• What is the Business Goal or Context of the request (brief summary or link)?: This is part of an overarching H2 2020 Moments channel 'big bang' strategy to deploy existing pages that have not yet been distributed (or haven't been distributed in a while), during timeframes between What's New Pages, in a fashion that adheres to our Firefox editorial calendar themes [i.e. September = Daylight mobile moment]
• How will success be measured?: Page views, clicks, mobile installs.
• Who is the directly accountable/responsible individual making this Messaging Request?: Lisa Wright / Mei Loo / Lindsey Shepard
• Please describe the targeting (i.e. which users should see this message) in plain English (e.g. all users who are not signed-in to a Firefox Account in the en-US locale, US region, in Firefox 72 and higher):
  -- Users on Fx69 and higher
  -- With a profile age > 30 days
  -- In the following locales: TBD based on available pages at time of launch. Goal is to be able to promote this in at least the following: en-* (all), de, fr, es-* (all)
  NOTE: Specifically NOT including a parameter to only limit this to users who aren't actively syncing a mobile device because we want to inform everyone, even existing mobile users, of the new updates to both Android and iOS.
• Enterprise clients included?: If this means ESR: Yes, applicable for cross-promotion since users can send themselves an email or SMS from the page even if the desktop computer they're on at the time is not their own.
• Link to content or specification of the desired message: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/welcome/4/
  --NOTE: Updates being made to this page have not yet been pushed live (as of Aug 28)
• User impact if declined: Low-hanging fruit opportunity missed to cross-sell mobile and gain new users for our new Fenix Android browser as well as iOS.
• User risk associated with releasing this Message (High/Med/Low/None): Low
• Why is the Message risky/not risky? (and alternatives if risky): There is no real "trade off" for not completing the CTA. Users who choose not to install Firefox on their mobile device can continue on with their desktop browsing habits.

Hi @andreio - just wanted to provide an update here.

We're still waiting on final updates to be made & localized to the page in our ideal locales, as well as when the iOS 14 release date will be (so our new copy makes sense about Firefox being available to set as a default browser on iOS); once we have those I can provide the exact dates we'd like this 'big bang' to run.

We're currently shooting for a launch of mid-next week pending if/what Apple announces on Tuesday, Sept 15 about the release date.

I'll provide another update back here as soon as we have final details for you though. Thanks!

Hi Andrei, I know we chatted via Slack already but wanted to provide an update here for everyone too --

The current plan is to launch this big bang Moments page for 7 days starting Tuesday, September 29 in the following locales:

• en-* (all)
• de
• fr
• es-* (all)

I will confirm on Monday, Sept 28 if you have the green light (since we're still waiting on some final strings to be localized on the FR & ES pages, but hoping those will get wrapped up next week while I'm out on PTO)... so please hold off on scheduling anything until you get my thumbs up.

Hi All,

Unfortunately the ES page is not yet ready via Pontoon, so we're going to move forward with a launch in just Tier 1 locales (en-ALL, DE, FR) please.

This will be a 1-2 punch marketing follow-up to last week's What's New Page 81 that also promoted mobile.
