The 'star' icons indicating 'new posts' should slowly flash white/yellow when
new mail has been posted.  However, at the foot of the page, the 'key to icons'
star does animate correctly.  Reloading makes no difference.  If the gif image
is re-ftp'd to the server, they will all work correctly but only for that
session.  Subsequent pages are similiar.  Works fine in NS4.75 and IE5.5.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. simply navigate to page
2. note that the 'new post' stars on the left are all white (once, all yellow)
3. reload as often as required (note no change)
4. clear cache, close browser, relaunch
5. note no change

Actual Results:  
As described.

Expected Results:  
Animated the gifs.

Loading the page in MSIE5.5 i don't see any stars animate, apart from the one at
the bottom.

Error in description: "Works fine in NS4.75 and IE5.5" should read "Works fine
in NS4.75 and IE5.0".

Are you sure old cache isn't playing tricks with you?
Testing it here, with MSIE5.5 as well as Netscape 4.78:
No stars animate apart from the one at the bottom.

I've fully cleared the cache. The problem isn't there.  I've since uploaded a
magenta/yellow gif and realised that actually, the static 'no new posts' icon
seems to be there, not the 'new posts' one.  The confusion lies in the fact that
the 'new posts' icon had an identical white frame.  The new posts don't appear
to be flagging up.  However, because all stars blaze correctly in IE5.0 (stands
back in amazement) that belies that!  What's special about IE5.0? I'm looking
into this as being a potential script problem though.

WinXP/MSIE6: No stars animate there either. (Apart from the bottom one)

??? I'm staring right at them.  I changed to a 3-frame gif with two shades of
magenta and they are all showing up clear as day in IE5.0.  The script is
clearly working in this case.  Hugely confused here.  I don't have any other
browsers to see this on.

Ok, hold your horses.  They've suddenly spung into life!  Unbelievable.  Stunned
and amazed. Seems like a few new postings have flicked a switch somewhere. 
Sorry for the apparent wild goose chase though I'm still no wiser about what's
going on here.
