I am using Mozilla 1.1. I work through a proxy at my university, and I try to 
enter the information for the proxy, and the values in the preferences will not 
hold. I have set a home page to be displayed when I open the browser, but 
sometimes that doesn't even appear. It seems that when I click ok, the values 
are not saved to a file. I have a kde theme installed also, but I do not think 
that is the culprit.

reporter (imrambi): can you reproduce this bug with a recent build of mozilla
(for example, 1.2beta)? if so, please comment again with details - in
particular, have you tried this with a new profile? have you used or are you
using netscape 6 or 7 on the same machine?

if you don't see this problem any more, please resolve this bug as WORKSFORME.
