Firefox only reacts sporadically to clicks in the tab bar. This makes it difficult to use Firefox. It happens since the update from macOS 11 Beta 5 to Beta 6, it was not an issue with Beta 5. I also tested with an old Nightly from 2020-08-01 and it's affected, too, so it's not a Firefox regression because the problem does definitively not exist for such a long time. I also tested on another machine with macOS 10.13 and it's not affected. There is no difference with WebRender enabled / disabled.

I made also another observation, you can see it at the end of the video: The hover effect only works on the bottom of the tabs. Maybe this is related.

As a workaround, you can make this bug go away by selecting "Title Bar" in the customize menu. This also works for bug 1663467.
