User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:80.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/80.0

Steps to reproduce:

Visit https://yummyanime.club/catalog/item/labirint-snovidenij and play video there.

Actual results:

Windows Firewall allerts a little bit later that it blocks something from Firefox.

Expected results:

Maybe this problem refers to Windows Firewall, not to Firefox, but anyway it would be nice to check why did it happen and if this problem is on Firefox side it should be fixed.

Hi Avlasenko,

I left the whole chapter running but I wasn't able to reproduce the bug. It may be because I don't have Windows Firewall. Nonetheless, I've chosen a component for this bug in hope that someone with more expertise may look at it. We'll await their answer. If you consider that there's another component that's more proper for this case you may change it.

Regards, Flor.

Component: Untriaged → Security
Product: Firefox → Core

I couldn't reproduce it either, on a Windows 10 machine with the Firewall turned on. The page had a lot of ads on it. It's possible one of them (rather than the movie content) was trying to reach back to its home server on an unusual port.

Firefox is supposed to add itself to the firewall list at install, but maybe that failed when you installed it? In that case re-installing Firefox might help. see bug 1090535 for an old fix for that part. Or you could just add Firefox to the firewall list through that dialog..

If you continue to have this problem and reinstalling doesn't fix it I suggest talking to the folks at https://support.mozilla.org/ first. They will either be able to help you based on other folks who have had this issue, or gather enough diagnostic information so that we can have a crack at fixing it.
