User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:4.6) Goanna/20170101 PaleMoon/28.12.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Hover the mouse over TB's taskbar button.
- Are any actions visible in the thumbbar presented by AeroPeek?
Actual results:
No buttons were present for me.
Expected results:
I went to send a message and found the AeroPeek thumbnail window for Thunderbird had no buttons. Buttons in that window, called the thumbbar, would help. In addition to sending a message, possible actions include checking for mail, new calendar entry, new task, etc.
See the API I found at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/shobjidl_core/ns-shobjidl_core-thumbbutton . I'm attaching a screenshot of a program that does provide buttons.

Outlook has also no such buttons. They also make no sense because TB is no media player you can steer in the task bar. The thumbnail is too small to do something useful. We use the standard right click on the task bar icon and show then "Write new message" and "Open Address book".
What we could do is extend the right click menu with additional entries.
