Steps to reproduce:

this relates to Sea-Monkey when i access my emails I get on the Desktop a drop down menu to delete privacy data - tried to delete it but it only can be canceled so how do I get rid of it permanently?

Actual results:

keep showing up eveytime

Expected results:

should not appear at all so I can accidentally delete things listed including URLs history and book marks

NOT reproducible with installation of unofficial (by wg9s) De SeaMonkey 2.53.5 beta 1 pre Mozilla/5.0 (NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0 Build 20200901210005 (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit

This one probably is INVALID, reporter accidentally launches SeaMonkey in Safe mode? Or preference "always ASK ..."?

In 'Edit -> Preferences -> Security -> Private Data' you might have checked the most top checkbox "Always delete private data when close SeaMonkey"?

Generally you should ask for help at newsgroup mozilla.support.seamonkey on newsserver news.mozilla.org or subscribe SeaMonkey support mailing list with the same contents like newsgroup. You also can get Help on [Reddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/seamonkey/

Please feel free to reopen this Bug if discussion at SeaMonkey Support has the result that there really is a bug in SeaMonkey.

Thank you for the answer to what I thought was a bug.

It turned out that my Edit -> Preferences -> Security -> Private Data was that the topmost checkbox was in fact checked and my preferences should have been to uncheck this box.
While I have used SeaMonkey since its beginning after Netscape this was an item I never knew existed. SeaMonkey is really a great combination of browse and email.
