User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:80.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/80.0

Steps to reproduce:

I updated Firefox to 80.0.1 (64 bit).
Then, when visiting some page, I noticed the awful address bar in the popups.
Since version 3, Firefox has got into the nasty habit of displaying the annoying address bar, even when 'location=no' is set in the loading script of the popups.
Luckily, any user can fix it in about:config, just setting this:
dom.disable_window_open_feature.location=FALSE
This was fine... but in 80.0.1, this isn't working anymore!

Actual results:

Address bar in popups is showing everytime.

Expected results:

Address bar in popups should be hidden when:
location=no (in the script)
dom.disable_window_open_feature.location=FALSE (in the about:config of client)
Please note that I don't care about the way people see my popups when browsing my site: if they really like to see the inconsistent address bar and lose space, no problem, it's their choice.
I just want to hide it on MY browser on MY computer!
I've searched for a workaround in extensions or plugins (like I've done to restore the "disable javascript" option and some other good features that in the last Firefox went lost), but I can't find anything to fix this!
Can you help me?
I attach a screen capture of my settings!
Really thanks!

Hi Marok,

I'm not sure I get the bug you mention. Do you have a screenshot of the actual bug? Also, can you share a web page where you've seen this behavior, please?

Regards, Flor.

Hi Florencia!
Here's a test page that, I hope, can explain the bug in a clearer way:

Hi Tom Schuster, I didn't get your answer.
You said the bug is now resolved, I just updated to Firefox 81.0 (64 bit), but the bug is still there.
I've just read the other page, related to bug 1507375, also marked as "resolved", but it doesn't like similar to this bug.
Can you help me?
Thanks!

Okay. Maybe I should have been a bit less terse. Basically the feature (location=no) you are trying to use was removed in bug 1507375. The about:config is also gone because the code for disabling the location bar was removed. This was intentional change because no other browser behaved like Firefox.

This is truly sad news. The reason I chose Firefox, from the very first version, was that no other browser behaved like Firefox, precisely because Firefox gave the user complete control (disable javascript, choose which layout components to display and which to hide, dynamically change style sheets and so on). Nowadays, I'm making do with a bit of excellent extensions, but it's really a shame that such a good product is losing so much. Thanks for the answer anyway!
