From yesterday meeting, we may want to disable the feature for now until its path-to-release will be clearer.
We must ensure users who changed their private search engine won't be stuck with that engine once disabled.

Just to confirm, it is safe to turn off - when off, we fallback to the normal default engine. The pref can even be toggled live if we wanted to.
