Mozilla 1.1 on Windows XP Pro. When trying to "move to" or "copy" more than one message from an IMAP folder to a local folder, nothing happens. Tried using right clicking, dragging the messages, and the "Message->Move" dropdown. Messages are not marked as deleted (when being moved) and the messages do not appear in the local folder. But there aren't any problems when trying to move/copy one message.
Expected Result: When moving messages, they should be copied to the target folder and deleted from the originating folder. When copying messages, they should be copied to the target folder.

reporter what mailserver are you using and what type of mail account (pop or imap)?
it is IMAP.
Charles, what type of mailserver are you using? UW, microsoft exchange, Cyrus, etc..
Sorry, I don't know. It runs on Unix though. Also, I did not encounter the problem when using Netscape 4.x.
Charles you could attach protocol log http://www.mozilla.org/quality/mailnews/mail-troubleshoot.html#imap and the first line or two I believe would tell you what type of mail server you are running. ex. 72[3f92d00]: linzilla.mcom.com:NA:CreateNewLineFromSocket: * OK linzilla.mcom.com IMAP4 service (Netscape Messaging Server 4.15 (built Dec 14 1999)) Are your folders all underneath your inbox? ie Inbox folder A foler b
i'm seeing Cyrus... 3212[22c06f8]: m.mail.vanderbilt.edu:NA:CreateNewLineFromSocket: * OK imap2 Cyrus IMAP4 v2.0.16 server ready3212[22c06f8] My folder setup is similar to: Inbox folder A folder B folder C However, I made a big mistake. I _can_ move multiple messages from "Inbox" without any problems, BUT I cannot move multiple messages from "Inbox"'s subfolders (i.e. folder A, B, C) to local folders. Sorry for the confusion.
Ok Thanks Charles. Than this is a dupe of bug 141744, which deals with the problem of moving mesgs from a folder other than the inbox to local folders. Problem with cyrus and other similar mail servers that use hiearchy delimiter, which is what character in folder names indicates directory separators - for cyrus, it's '.' Marking as dupe of bug 141744. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 141744 ***
