When I use View Page Source I get a box asking what to do with my "request" to
download a file of type: application/x-view-source from
view-source:http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Browser&format=guided

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load a page
2. Select View Page-Source
3.

Actual Results:
Popup box.

Expected Results:
Source to be displayed on blank screen behind the pop-up box.

I almost certain that this worked with a build from 9/3.
yeah ...

Oh dear, I was rather hoping it was something I'd done on my machine. (You know,
report a bug just in case it really is a bug).

OK, so is this Windows only, or is it appearing on other platforms as well.
I knew I was going to mention something else.....should've waited until I
remembered everything I suppose.

Anyway, while searching for prior reports of this bug, I came across Bug #166595
which talks about being prompted twice when trying to download a file. Maybe
both of these bugs are caused by the same problem?
smontagu says deleting components\compreg.dat fixes it

Yup, deleting that in-famous file fixed the problem. That's the second time I've
had to delete compreg.dat to get Mozilla running properly.

Marking Verified.

Works4Me on Win2000pro with Build 2002-09-05 (seamonkey)
* Before installing I uninstalled Mozilla in ControlPanel PLUS deleted the
*components* directory entirely & emptied the trash.
