In the Nightly Experiments section of about:config, if a user searches for one of the experiments using the Preferences search feature, all of the experiments will be visible. We should only show the experiments that matched the search.

Not sure how to make a test for this. Since I assume that the list of experiments is not going to be fixed and is different for release builds, is there a way to easily apply a set of experiments for testing purposes? I couldn't find any existing tests for the preference experiments section.

Sorry for not responding to your needinfo sooner. From looking at the patch I see you figured out how to add experiments for testing purposes.
