User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/87.0.4243.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Enable gfx.color_management.enablev4
  2. go to http://displaycal.net/icc-color-management-test/
  3. scroll down to TEST NO. 2: COLOR MANAGEMENT WITH LOOKUP TABLE BASED PROFILES, and the grayscale has clearly visible color corruption in firefox 77

Actual results:

Color corruption on grayscale gradient when gfx.color_management.enablev4 is enabled, on builds over firefox 76.

Expected results:

The grayscale gradient should look the same as in firefox 76 which works correctly with gfx.color_management.enablev4 enabled, something clearly between build 76, and 77 broke this.

Thomas, is it possible for you to get a tighter regression window using mozregression?

Flags: needinfo?(fxyyddr21)

Yeah will do it later today, but I'm pretty sure the issue is related to the color management changes that where done in FF77, and over

Blocks: 1602453
Severity: -- → S3

So mozregression gave me this Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D90782
Bug 1666057. Convert qcms to rust.

Flags: needinfo?(fxyyddr21)

Seems the regression was relatively recent then.

Also my bad i thought i was still on firefox 77, i remember i had disabled auto-updates, and that was the last build i was on, so i clearly thought i was still on that one...
