When downloading a large file I closed all other applications that could take up
some of my connection speed and was able to get 5KB/s (stupid dialup). After
awhile, I paused it to make my browsing go a little faster, planning to resume
it when done. I forgot to. I came back a little over an hour later, realized
this, and resumed. Now, however, I was getting 2.7KB/s, according to the
dialog, but the x KB of y KB was still advancing at 5KB/s (I didn't just guess
at this--I noted the difference during a minute's time and divided by 60). I
checked the elapsed time and realized it appears to pause when you click pause,
but continues in the background and will show that it does when you resume,
e.g., if you pause a download for 5s, the time will mysteriously jump forward 5s
when you resum
