Steps to reproduce:
The TB extension interfaces seams to be rubbish, because since a few yeas all most very new TB version brakes many important extensions. If you relay on like Google Calerder or Google Contacts, TB is out of order until the extension developer updates the extension. This can take weeks.
May some extension developer get annoyed by the unstable API.
No problem if this happens once a decade, for a new API. But now it happens twice a year. Really a "no go"! TB becomes unusable like tat.
Actual results:
TB is often for weeks out of order, because important extensions are not working anymore.
Expected results:
The TB extension API should be much more stable. As it used to be. Handel the API with much more care.

We're working on MailExtension APIs that are stable. There was no real API before, just add-on poking at random internal parts of the code.
Woking on a solution doesn't means it's resolved? The issue still exists. So please open this bug again until the API is stabilised.
Pleas don't make more plug-in developer give up. We've seen so may give in the last few years. I'm really in doubt TB becomes incompatible to Google or other Providers. This would make many more user to avoid TB.
But I fully understand frustration of developers if bugs closed without any solutions.

We can't develop slower just so that add-on authors could keep up. APIs are available for some things, other things not.
