Details

While typing in text, the character that was just entered flickers. The flickering does not provide a good feel while typing. 1. Open a document in TextEdit. 2. Press and hold a key. There is a slight blur as the character is displayed. But there isn't any noticeable flickering. 3. In Chimera, place the insertion cursor in a text field in a document. 4. Press and hold a key. BUG: Notice how the cursor appears to lead the entered text. There is a visual white space and flicker between the character that is entered and the insertion bar. The insertion bar appears to lead the entered text. Likewise press and hold the delete key in TextEdit and in Chimera. There isn't any flicker in TextEdit but in Chimera there is a noticeable flicker. While deleting the insertion bar leads the entered text. In both cases the cause of the problem appears to be that the cursor is moved before the character is displayed or deleted.
