Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open a youtube video
  2. Open the video Quality overlay
  3. A list of the possible resolutions is being shown
  4. Click a resolution that is over the Picture in Picture icon

Reproduced on FIrefox nightly on Linux, and Firefox 81.0.1 on Windows. Probably related to #1655802

Actual results:

Resolution doesn't change, Picture in Picture window appears.

Expected results:

Resolution should change, Picture in Picture icon should not have been clicked.

This is being fixed in bug 1666739, even if the particular semi-transparent thing in the description there is a different one.
