GSuite tabs fail sso authentication on startup

Periodically in nightly my pinned gsuite tabs to gsuite will get logged out and when I enter my info for the mozilla sso it won't log back in. Most recently this happened at startup, although I'm not sure it is always the case.
After authing, the tabs just hit a blank window with some google url: https://www.google.com/a/mozilla.com/acs?code=XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XX&state=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX .
If I go back to the login screen, I can urldecode the auth url twice to extract the original doc I was looking at, but it isn't in the tab "back" history anymore and it's a pain to get back to: https://auth.mozilla.auth0.com/login?state=XXXXXX&client=XXXX&protocol=samlp&SAMLRequest=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&RelayState=https%3A%2F%2Faccounts.google.com%2FCheckCookie%3Fcontinue%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fdocs.google.com%252Fdocument%252Fd%252F1wLnsEZHIkT4d-2j-JLZPESUkHrHk3JxXtABf27xH988%252Fedit%26service%3Dwise%26ltmpl%3Ddocs#heading=h.rhwa3rx60izc

I see this, too, when my Google auth token expires. The first pinned GDoc tab I click on (or GMail or GCal) seems to go through the auth flow properly and eventually redirect to the right URL but others don't.
I just noticed it's not only my pinned tabs, but some other tabs as well.
