  1. Use normal profile (WR, Ublock)
  2. Go to https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/
  3. Wait for the page to load
  4. Scroll down on the site till the end

The profile is : https://share.firefox.dev/36SCUW8

ER: Faster loading, if possible

Attached file about:support

For me Nightly loads the pages faster than other browsers (on linux).
Something like 2s in Nightly and 3s in Chrome.
And in the profile at least the load event fires quite soon for the page, somewhere around 5.5s, roughly 3.1s after the load started.

Most of the profile is about stuff after the page load, scrolling and such.
But I can't see really difference there either when comparing browsers. The web site is just loading tons of pictures while scrolling.

Mayank, is there some significant difference in page load or scrolling vs other browsers?
Is this bug about scrolling down or page load?

I have not compared nightly with other browsers.

I filed this bug as a "wow, this site feels slow to load, and slow to load while scrolling. Is there anything immediately obviously wrong that Nightly is doing here? "

Feel free to WONTFIX if there is nothing obvious that can be fixed. ni? back to you so that you see my reply, and decide on whether this bug should remain open or not.

Also, in general, are bugs like these useful?

Very often web sites are slow because they run too many ads or too much other Javascript in them, and in those cases they are often slow on all the browsers and it is hard to do much with them.
So comparing Nightly to release version of Firefox is always good, and also comparing to other browsers. If the web site is slow in all the browsers, usually better to report the issue to the website.
