User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:82.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/82.0

Steps to reproduce:

At home and at work, I am testing with TB 82.0b2 x64 and am using the same accounts at both locations. In order to be able to read secure messages from bug 1656987, I figured out how to use the OpenPGP feature, create my secret/private key and submitted my public key to bug 1656987 (or whatever page it was that required me to do so in order to get/view messages). Worked fine at home after setting it up.

When a secure message arrives on my home PC's Inbox with TB, I can 1) click on the secure message once to highlight it, 2) the message appears in the message pane window and 3) I can see the OpenPGP icon with the lock and green check mark in the top right corner.

On my work PC, I could not see these secure message because I set up OpenPGP on my home PC using one of my GMail accounts. I'll call it Account3. After some suggestions of how to get my secure/private OpenPGP key from home home PC onto my work PC (via m.s.thunderbird forum), I used the OpenPGP Key Manager UI to 1) Backup Secret Key To File (which asked to password protect it, and I did), 2) saved the backup file to my Desktop and the to my USB drive, 3) used the OpenPGP Key Manager UI on my work PC (for Account3) to Import Secret Key From File (which prompted me for the password, which I input and worked fine) and finally 4) the key showed up in the main window of the OpenPGP Key Manager UI window.

I closed the OpenPGP Key Manager UI, went to the End-To-End Encryption option for Account3 and selected the bullet next to the OpenPGP key I wanted to use (my imported key was now highlighted in blue) and closed the End-To-End Encryption tab.

Actual results:

When a secure message arrives in my Account3 Inbox and I click on it, the message pane window is blank and no OpenPGP icon with lock and green checkbox appear in the top right corner. If I double-click the secure message to open it in its own window, the secure message appears in the message pane window and the OpenPGP icon with lock and green checkbox appear in the top right corner.

Further still, with the secure message still open in its own window, I can go back to the main TB window and click once on the exact same message and the secure message will appear and the OpenPGP icon with lock and green checkbox will now appear in the corner.

Expected results:

After importing a secure key using the OpenPGP Key Manager UI and using that key for the account intending to use OpenPGP (Account3 in this case), click once on a secure message arriving in the Inbox should make the secure message appear as it does on the machine from which the key was originally exported.

Here's a picture of the issue as it occurs on my work PC.

#1 shows the email highlighted in the main TB message, the message content is blank and no OpenPGP icon is displayed.

#2 shows the same message open in its own window but the OpenPGP icon is displayed and the message content is visible.

Further still, with the secure message still open in its own window, I can go back to the main TB window and click once on the exact same message and the secure message will appear and the OpenPGP icon with lock and green checkbox will now appear in the corner.

Sorry, I meant to add here that one has to click on some other message temporarily and then click back on the ORIGINAL secure message that appeared blank originally for it to appear in the main TB window. Opening the secure message in its own window then going back to the main TB window will still show the ORIGINAL message as blank.
