deleteCol icon in Thread Pane shows no warning or impression that this 'greyed out' icon is functional.

Using 78.3.2
'Delete' icon shown when 'Delete' column header enabled.
Tested: Hover over delete icon on a non selected or selected/highlighted email in list does not do anything,
eg: no tooltip warning, nothing is highlighted as if selected, trash can does not change colour to eg: orange/yellow as if warning what could happen. It does not look like it would do anything. At the moment, the deleteCol icon appears as if it is a greyed out icon and 'greyed out' usually means not selectable or similar.
Accidental deletion is so easy.
If you use the mouse to select an email in list, but happen to click where that 'greyed out' trash icon is located, then you will delete the email instead of opening it.
I would like to suggest for serious consideration....Please could that deleteCol icon not look like it is disabled/greyed out, it needs to look like it is 'live' - perhaps a more whiter lighter colour. It really needs an on hover highlight in yellow (red not a good idea due to potential issues with colour blindness/high contrast) when you hover over it as well as a pop up tooltip warning users that clicking on icon will delete email.
