Details

After installing the latest Mozilla beta, using the full installation to an
existing directory, I was unable to access my GroupWise 5.5.4 e-mail client on
my workstation. Further investigation led me to reinstall my Windows Messaging
component available from Novell's website, which resolved the problem. While I
have not attempted to recreate this issue on this particular workstation, the
same issue occurred when I installed the last version of the Mozilla Beta.
(Therefore, in a way, I guess it was recreated; just not with this version.)

I'm new at bug reporting, and while I checked for other entries for this bug and
didn't find any, I apologize in advance if this is a duplicate.
Mozilla *only* installs files into the mozilla.org directory. The only thing
mozilla does, it you let it, is register itself as the default mailclient.
I'm almost 100% sure the problem you have was caused by something else.
