User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:82.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/82.0
Steps to reproduce:
Going to the Url causes the PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR error on Firefox 82 even in safemode but not chrome or Nightly 83
Actual results:
I noticed that the banking website online.vystar.org caused a PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR recently after they had server maintenance. At first I thought it was related to the reported maintenance but I was able to access the website properly through Chrome. I then also tried Firefox Nightly 83 and had no issues accessing the site. Finally I started firefox 82 in safemode to rule out addons and still got the error.
The main website Vystar.org works without issues.
I did HTTP logging and that is attached below.
Expected results:
You should be able to connect to the website
I'm getting this error as well trying to log into banking account " PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR"
It started after the update:
"Firefox 81.0.2 (20201012085804)Details
Installed on: October 13, 2020, 5:45:02 PMStatus: The Update was successfully installed"
Please advise as it does not happen in the other browsers.
I am having an issue with logging into Vystar.org. However, I am not getting an error message.
https://www.vystarcu.org/ - Landing page is fine. Clicking on Login button is when the problem starts.
As soon as I click on Login, the following occurs.
- Blank white screen
- The Vystar tab has a dot that repeatedly travels (very fast) from left to right on about the left 1/3 of the tab
- Bottom left of window has three fast flickering text messages
Message 1 - Transferring data from online.vystarcu.org...
Message 2 - online.vystarcu.org
Message 3 - Waiting .... ( I could not get a screen shot to see the full message)
- Hovering over the flicking message make it move to the bottom right of the screen
- The Duckduckgo and MacAfee Web advisor Extensions flicker
a. Disabling them did not change anything.
b. Did not try with uninstalling the Extensions

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:81.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/81.0
Hi,
I have tested your issue on Release version 81.0.2, Beta 82 and latest Nightly 83.0a1 (2020-10-19) using Windows 10 and could not reproduce it, I am able to access online.vystar.org.
Further, I will move this over to a component so developers can take a look over it. If this is not the correct component please feel free to change it to an appropriate one.
Thanks for the report.
to add more to this issue, Starting firefox 83 in safe mode does not allow access to the link in question but a new profile does.
The same bug also affects my profile on firefox 83.0 on linux mint. I can only assume it was synced at some point and the bug persist. Only this website seems affected.

I also get PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERRORs on tons of sites when I'm on my employers network. Here are some examples:
https://jsoneditoronline.org/
https://www.sparkpost.com/blog/what-smtp-port/
https://www.mailgun.com/blog/which-smtp-port-understanding-ports-25-465-587/
https://kinsta.com/blog/smtp-port/
The last three links are the top results of a duckduckgo search. It frequently happens that the top results for some technical search term all get that error when trying to open them.
At first, I've thought that my employer's firewall blocks all those sites, but they all work just fine with Gnome Web (Epiphany) or Chromium.
Another example is the IntelliJ download link https://download-cf.jetbrains.com/idea/ideaIU-211.5787.15.tar.gz which gets a PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR in Firefox but works just fine from the very same computer in the very same network using Web or Chromium or just wget or curl.
So the question is: why do many sites get that PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR when I'm logged into my employer's VPN or local network but not at home, where all those sites work fine with the same computer? And why does it only affect Firefox and not Chromium or Gnome Web?
This is pretty much a blocker for me. At work, I frequently have to resort to alternative browsers although I don't want to. I'm happy to provide more information.
This is with Firefox Developer Edition 86.0b8 (64-bit) but occurred also with older Versions.

FWIW, I cannot reproduce anymore using Firefox Developer Edition 90.0b12 (64-bit). I've tried all sites I've listed in my comment above, and now they do work.

I can confirm this. With Firefox Nightly all sites load without errors.
Tested with:
Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 92.0a1 (2021-07-20)

Whinis did you still experience the "PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR" error lately?

I made a new profile to get around the issue as the problem seems to be tied to a specific profile in some way. That being said none of the profiles I saved that had the issue currently show it for https://online.vystarcu.org/ . I cannot say if its because of the bug being fixed or the fact that vystar recently went through a complete rebuild of their infrastructure leading to a nearly 1 month downtime.

Thanks whinis. I'll close it for now, but feel free to reach out to us if you stumble upon the issue again in the future.
