Steps to reproduce:
This is a simple 1 letter fix. Let's not go on and on about this. How to demonstrate: In Linux open a GUI menu and search for the app by typing 'email<enter>'.
On my system, Evolution shows up, but not Thunderbird nor gmail. Yet a search for 'mail' finds all three.
Somehow the default Comment= in the desktop file forgets to mention 'email', but only mentions Mail (without the 'e'). So if you search for 'email' in the menu you don't find Thunderbird.
I'm using Debian 10.4 w/Cinnamon but that shouldn't matter, as all XDG menus probably have this issue.
Actual results:
didn't find Thunderbird
Expected results:
searching for email should find Thunderbird

Those files aren't shipped by Thunderbird, but is something each distro creates. You'll have to file a bug with your distro.
