• Why is the change risky/not risky? (and alternatives if risky): This has been on in Nightly and Early beta for a bunch of cycles and we haven't had any problems. The driver restriction was only ever for laptops and nvidia's drivers tend to be similar across laptops and desktops.

Hi Jeff, can you help us verify this issue ? which drivers from Nvidia are no longer Blocked ? is there a list of drivers we should verify that Webrender enables by default for them ? or certain Gpu's ?

Drivers older than 26.21.14.3200 on nvidia laptops

This issue Is Verified as Fixed in our latest Beta 83.0b6 and our Latest Nightly build 84.0a1 (2020-10-30).
I've tested this issue on a Dell Laptop with Nvidia GT 525M driver version 23.21.13.9135 and WebRender enabled by default. I will update the flags accordingly.
