In Netscape 4.x, this functionality existed; but does not in Netscape 6 or
Mozilla 1.1.  I put the platform and OS that I have tested this on, but I
think this is a generic feature that does not exist for all platforms and
all OSs.
Once you have looked at more than one mail message, using the alt left/right
arrows should move you back and forth between the messages you have looked at
(skipping over any messages that have been deleted in the interim).
This problem is probably dependent on Bug 10872.
Example:
  Given:  3 mail folders each with 4 messages
    foo.1->foo.2->foo.3->foo.4
    eep.1->eep.2->eep.3->eep.4
    fish.1->fish.2->fish.3->fish.4
  Read in order from left to right:
    foo.4->foo.1->eep.3->fish.2->fish.4->eep.4
  Use the alt left/right arrows:
    press alt left arrow twice takes you from eep.4 to fish.4 then to fish.2
    press delete and fish.2 is removed and you are pointing to fish.4
    press alt right arrow once and you go to eep.4
    press alt left arrow four times to get back to foo.4 (looking at each
      message in the order fish.4 then eep.3 then foo.1 finally foo.4).

Pressing the alt left/right arrow keys after looking at multiple messages
currently does nothing.

Expected Results:  
Should change between viewed messages in the order selected.

Shoudn't this get the 4xp keyword?  It consistently annoys me because I'm so
used to it, and there doesn't seem to be any way to accomplish it.

MASS-CHANGE:
This bug report is registered in the SeaMonkey product, but has been without a comment since the inception of the SeaMonkey project. This means that it was logged against the old Mozilla suite and we cannot determine that it's still valid for the current SeaMonkey suite. Because of this, we are setting it to an UNCONFIRMED state.
