User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:82.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/82.0
Steps to reproduce:
I visited the Auk to search for articles on the dinosaur-bird connection. One editor there was a fierce critic of the idea.
Actual results:
I tried to sort results by date, nothing happened.
Also tried to specify free articles in the options on the left, nothing happened.
A lot of "not a function" errors in the console.

Hi MarkaE,
Can you copy paste the errors in console?
I've tried reproducing this issue both in windows 10 pro and ma0s 11 without success. Would you mind submitting your about:support information?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Clara

Thanks MarjaE.
Setting a component for this in order to get the dev team involved.
(If the team feels it's an incorrect one please feel free to change it to a more appropriate one, maybe devtools/console instead?.)
Best,
Clara

Errors in ConsoleAttached errors in console.
This seems to be a bug of the website's JS, or some external JS it's using. The website uses an old version of jQuery Migrate (https://oup.silverchair-cdn.com/Themes/Silver/app/vendor/v-637389614866021597/jquery-migrate-1.4.1.min.js, https://blog.jquery.com/2016/05/19/jquery-migrate-1-4-1-released-and-the-path-to-jquery-3-0/).
Couldn't reproduce the issue on Ubuntu 18.04.

Did this get fixed? I cannot reproduce this. Sorting works fine. Filtering by free articles works fine. There's no errors in the console other than warnings about storage and cookies. (I'm using Firefox Nightly, but I'm not sure that should affect the errors you were seeing.)
:dschubert: if time allows, can you please have a look at this issue?

This works fine for me.
MarjaE, from Comment 4, I see you have a lot of addons installed. Please start Firefox in Safe Mode so that it loads without any addons, and check if it works for you if everything is disabled.

It works that way, but please don't call anything which can disable safety tools "Safe Mode".

Well, "Safe Mode" is called "Safe Mode", because it disables things that can break Firefox. :)
Since it works for you in Safe Mode, one of your addons is causing this issue. That's not something we can work on, unfortunately. I suggest you to disable all extensions, re-enable them one by one, which allows you to figure out which extension is causing that issue. If you found the offending extension, please file an issue there, or get in touch with the developer, so you can get this issue sorted.
This is a no-op from our side, though, so closing as invalid.
