(Reporter: stephan, Unassigned)
Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:81.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/81.0
Steps to reproduce:
- In macOS Catalina (10.15.7), activate automatic switching between light and dark modes
- Start Firefox
- Wait until it turns dark automatically (i. e. in the evening)
- Shut down the computer
- Restart it the next day when it should start in light mode automatically
Actual results:
Firefox starts with the dark theme while everything else is in light mode. I have to explicitly go into System Preferences > Appearance, and click on either the dark or light appearance buttons (and back on automatic) to make Firefox switch.
Expected results:
Firefox should automatically start with the proper theme activated, respective of the current state of the OS.
