The Nagios checks for pulse/sns notifier lag fire off too frequently, since lagging by a few messages rarely causes a problem but can happen due to network latency or regular slowness on hgssh. IT has updated the Nagios configs to use the defaults set in version-control-tools, so those defaults should be bumped up to a more reasonable value.
