RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1272405

People

(Reporter: junpet, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:82.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/82.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Inspect Element
  2. In the search field search something (.classname, h2 etc)

Actual results:

The element was selected on the webpage, but sometimes the element is out of range, so cannot be seen.

Expected results:

There's an option in the Inspector when right click on the element: Scroll Into View. It would be nice such an option like Automatically Scroll Into View. When this is turned on, the element on the webpage will be in focus during searching. By the way this is the default in Vivaldi web browser. You can take a look at if you don't understand what I'm trying to tell. Sorry for my bad English.
