We would like to add a telemetry probe that allows us to measure the fraction of mixed content upgrades that succeed. Perhaps the simplest thing is for each content type (images, audio, and video), we keep track of two integers:
- Mixed content upgrade success count
- Mixed content upgrade failure count
The sum of these two counters should be the total number of mixed content upgrade attempts for each content type.
Initially we only need this in Nightly, although we should be sure to include it in Release if we enable this feature in Release. So the best thing would be if the telemetry is enabled whenever the feature is enabled.
