16758 - Download problems ( New Communicator}

hallo

every time I try to download the new netscape communicator (german version) from
the europian server I get an error message ".. temporary network problems". Ones
I´m successfull, but in this case the file is to short (I have lost 5 mb) and I
can´t install it..

To download the new version I use the netscape communicator 4.5.

Can you help me? Are this a problem of the europian server of netscape or a
problem of my pc (Win 95b).

This is not a mozilla bug. Please see help.netscape.com for Netscape bugs.

But a quick note: if you were using a Communicator 4.x browser and downloading
directly from a Netscape Server, do not despair. Often, after canceling the
"Saving Location" dialog before the end of the download, if you try
downloading the same file from the same source again, the progress bar will
zoom to where it left off, and continue from there. That is, if you haven't
deleted the partial file already.

Also, if you download late at night, after most people have gone to sleep,
your local time, you will get better results downloading large files.

I do not speak for Netscape or Mozilla, these are my own comments, sidr.
