Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create new message
  2. Start typing in the body
  3. Hit C key

Actual results:

  1. CC field at the top of the window is shown (if not hidden)

  3. You see your keystrokes (after the C keystroke) showing us into the CC field

Expected results:

Staying in the body text area

OS: Unspecified → macOS
Hardware: Unspecified → x86_64
  • It happens even doing copy (Ctrl+C)
  • It does NOT happen with uppercase (Shift+C)
  • It happens even in input control different from body text area (i.e. subject)

I'm quite certain I responded to this exact subject somewhere.
What happens when you start thunderbird in safe mode?

In safe mode everything was ok
Back to normal mode, I deactivated "Manage Emails/Nostalgy++" extension and the behaviour disapperead
Ok, it's caused by third party, sorry for not checking thoroughly before posting
