Steps to reproduce:

I created a new email message using a custom "From" address. My actual email account is [e-mail], but I have another email address "[e-mail]" that my ISP's POP server funnels into my primary address, so I see emails from both by just having the one account in Thunderbird. For certain recipients I want the recipient to see my alternate address ([e-mail]) as the "From" address.

Actual results:

In my "Sent" list under "Correspondents" I see the alternate "From" email address that I specified when composing the email ([e-mail]).

Expected results:

I should be seeing the email address of the recipient to whom I sent the email. In the attached example this should have been "[e-mail]".

David, I am failing to reproduce your problem, but I'm not sure if I have exactly your scenario.
Can you please provide numbered, detailed steps and all necessary info as bullet points on your extraordinary setup.
Are you using POP or IMAP?
